I just found out about a new phone being introduced by T-Mobile on October 16. It is a PocketPC/Flip phone combination that is guaranteed to become popular this year.
The Pocket PC runs off of Windows Mobile 2005 and is equipped with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. It also comes with a 200mhz processor, and a 320 by 240 screen.
One thing that I love about PocketPC’s is that you have the ability to synchronize contacts, emails, and files to and from your PC. This is so important. It really makes it convenient to have a “mobile office.”
As far as I can tell, T-Mobile has not disclosed what type of memory card this phone will take. It would be ideal if it took a standard type of memory card like an SD, or XD card. However, I am guessing it takes a mini-sd card. It seems that this is the normal route that phone manufactures take.
It looks as though this phone / pocket pc will set you back about $350. So, unless there are some great rebates, I would recommend you check out your options. This looks like a good phone, but we may not hear any serious reviews until mid-November (after it has been on the market for about a month).
Finally, this phone comes equipped with a 1.3 megapixel camera. This is nothing too fancy when compared with other phones these days, but it is still a little on the high end of quality when it comes to a phone camera.
