With the start of the university school year now upon us, it is interesting to look at who these new students are on campus. One college publishes a list every year that defines the culture of the incoming freshman class. For the current year, this means people who were born in 1988.
The list contains interesting facts about the incoming freshmen, such as the fact that they generally have no personal recollection of the times when the Soviet Union existed. To them the Soviet Union is about as scary as the student union building. This is a group that grew up in mini-vans, and always found faux fur to be in style. They are used to watching wars unfold live on television and always knew Mr. Rogers as the most trusted man in America.
