It was five years ago, today, that many of our fellow citizens died in brutal acts of terror throughout our nation. Our world has changed a lot since then. Some changes were good, others were bad. Regardless of how you feel about those changes, there is one constant.
We were all shocked on that day. No one expected to wake up on that peaceful september morning and witness a large scale attack against the United States. More than our shock, we were all deeply saddened to see so many of our fellow Americans die.
These individuals were not criminals, they had done nothing to provoke such an attack. They died because a group of people disliked our nation, our people, our way of life. They died without warning and without mercy.
I pray that God will comfort the families and friends of those who died, and will guide our leaders in the right direction in regards to these matters.
